Developmental Disabilities Committee

For years, the Association’s Board of Directors seated a Vocational Committee to deal with those issues which vocational rehabilitation faced. As community agencies broadened their services the traditional vocational committee was outgrown. The Developmental Disabilities Services Committee has as its purpose the discussion of matters that affect the ability of community agencies to provide programs and services for persons with developmental disabilities. The Committee focuses on workshop, developmental training, supported employment and rehabilitation services issues. This new focus allows members of the Association to have a centralized committee structure for issues involving non-residential services to persons with developmental disabilities.
