Together with our partners at the Behavioral Health Economics Network (BHECON), IARF, CBHA, and IABH are excited to join together for a joint Advocacy Day event in Springfield.
Wednesday, May 15, our collective voices will be heard at the Capitol as we come together to advocate on behalf of all community providers of I/DD and behavioral health services and supports all across Illinois.
Wednesday, May 15, 2024 – Tentative Schedule of Events:
11:00 – 11:15 AM: Arrival and Registration
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Lunch Served to Attendees (Box lunches to grab and eat at tables)
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Educational Session (Discussion on the “why” and the “asks” for the day at the Capitol
1:00 PM: Attendees will leave the Inn at 835 to head to the Capitol for legislative meetings – Organizations should attempt to schedule meetings with their respective legislators from their districts
4:00 – 6:00 PM: Evening Reception (Attendees return to the Inn at 835 after being at the Capitol for a reception that include drinks and light appetizers)
We hope you'll join us as we work to ensure that our priorities remain at the top of the minds of all elected officials in Springfield as they work to craft the final budget for the coming year.
