#ThisIsOurShot Campaign

Frontline Staff Vaccinating Against COVID-19

Frontline staff – professionals and paraprofessional serving and supporting children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities – are the backbone of our service array. Without DSPs, QIDPs, nurses, mental health professionals – there is no community. Those of you that have or are seeking the COVID-19 vaccine are our service array’s best examples of leaders during this pandemic.

Once you’ve received your vaccine, please consider sharing your story with your colleagues and friends in your agency, community, and across our state.
Below are the Following Ways You Can Participate!
  • Share a photo on social media on why you got the COVID-19 vaccine – be sure to use the hashtag #ThisIsOurShot – tag your agency and @ILIARF – feel free to use this logo as well!
  • Record a very brief video saying why you got the COVID-19 vaccine and what it means to you! Please send those videos to Maggie Henley IARF Director of Member Services ([email protected]) so we can share them on social media.

Not Sure What to Say?
While a photo can say a thousand words, it’s ok to add a caption to a photo with a few more. Not sure what to say for your post, consider these:
  • #ThisIsOurShot to protect our families and those we serve and support!
  • I got the #COVID-19 vaccine because #ThisIsOurShot to end this pandemic!
  • This vaccine - #ThisIsOurShot – to keep us healthy and safe!
  • #ThisIsOurShot to come together as professionals and do our part – let’s do it together!
Reminder, the graphics linked above and below can be used for your photographs and videos.  We will do our part to share the images and videos broadly on social media to encourage vaccination.

Let’s do this! #ThisIsOurShot

Della, a frontline worker and 25-year veteran of Sparc, shares her experience in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
